# Free sample: Sound Like You, Check Everything

This is one slice of the kit: **turn rough notes into a draft without losing a single number** (prompt D4), and what a Voice Card changes (prompt D2).
Everything below uses a fictional bookkeeper, Dana Okoro. Example output generated with Claude on 27 Oct 2026. Your result will differ.

## Why it matters

AI drafts go wrong in two ways. The writing sounds like nobody in particular, and numbers or dates quietly change. The kit fixes the first with a **Voice Card** (a short description of how you write, built from your own samples) and the second with prompts that make the AI **stop and ask** instead of guessing.

## Prompt D4: Rough notes into a draft

When to use it: you have messy notes full of numbers and need a draft you will send.

```
Turn my rough notes into a first draft of a [TYPE, e.g. status update, report summary] for [AUDIENCE], in the Voice Card below.
Rules: keep every number, date and name exactly as I wrote it. Do not round, convert or add any. If two notes seem to disagree, tell me before drafting. If something is unclear, write {TO CHECK}.
After the draft, add two short lists: "Not used" (notes you left out) and "Your questions" (anything you needed to ask).
MY VOICE CARD (paste it here, or write NONE):
[PASTE YOUR VOICE CARD OR WRITE NONE]
If it says NONE, write in a plain, natural voice and tell me in one line that no Voice Card was used.
NOTES:
[PASTE YOUR NOTES]
```

You provide: what kind of document it is, who it is for, and your notes.

## Worked example

Dana's notes (fictional). Two of them disagree about the tax date:

```
- reconciled 3 accounts: business checking, card ending 4417, PayPal
- 14 uncategorised transactions, total $2,318.40, mostly supplier invoices
- removed 2 duplicate payments, $86.00 and $412.15
- sales tax return due 20 Oct, not filed yet
- Tom still hasn't sent the Aug mileage log
- used 9 of 12 hours this month
- file sales tax by the 21st
```

**What the AI said first (no draft yet):**

```
Before I draft: two of your notes disagree.
- "sales tax return due 20 Oct, not filed yet"
- "file sales tax by the 21st"
Which date is right? I have not written the draft yet.
```

**Dana answered:**

```
20 Oct is the due date. The 21st was a typo.
```

**The draft that followed:**

```
Hi Tom, here is your monthly update.
I reconciled three accounts this month: business checking, the card ending 4417, and PayPal. I removed two duplicate payments, $86.00 and $412.15.
14 transactions are still uncategorised, $2,318.40 in total, mostly supplier invoices. I'll sort those next.
Two things I need from you. Your sales tax return is due 20 Oct and is not filed yet. And I still don't have the August mileage log.
I've used 9 of your 12 hours this month.
Thanks, Dana
**Not used:** the note "file sales tax by the 21st" (you said it was a typo).
**Your questions:** "I'll sort those next" is my wording, not from your notes. Is that the plan, or should I remove it? {TO CHECK}
```

Look at what happened. Every number stayed exactly as Dana wrote it. The AI refused to pick between two dates. And it marked its own addition ("I'll sort those next") so Dana could remove it.

## What a Voice Card changes (prompt D2)

Same notes, same AI, one email to a client. Notes used:

```
- Marco's quarterly sales tax filing is due 20 Oct
- I need his sales summary by Wed 15 Oct
- my fee is $120, same as last quarter
- if it will be late he should tell me right away
```

**Without a Voice Card:**

```
Subject: Upcoming Sales Tax Filing Deadline
Hi Marco,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to reach out regarding your quarterly sales tax filing, which is due on October 20th.
To ensure we file on time, could you please send over your sales summary by Wednesday, October 15th? My fee for this quarter remains $120, the same as last quarter.
If you anticipate any delays, please don't hesitate to let me know right away so we can make arrangements.
Thank you so much for your prompt attention to this matter!
Best regards,
Dana
```

**With Dana's Voice Card:**

```
Hi Marco, quick one: your quarterly sales tax filing is due 20 Oct. I need your sales summary by Wednesday 15 Oct to file on time.
My fee is $120, the same as last quarter. If the summary will be late, tell me right away.
Thanks, Dana
```

## What is in the full kit

- A 35-page guide as PDF and interactive HTML (copy buttons, tick boxes, a Voice Card builder that needs no AI)
- 16 prompts: Voice Card, six drafting prompts, an AI-tells editor, a checking routine and a long-chat restart
- Four one-page printable cards and a verification spreadsheet

Written and tested with Claude on 27 Oct 2026. Other apps and plans can behave differently. This sample is educational, not professional advice, and no result is guaranteed.
