When You Submit a Tool
- Name: To identify you as the tool owner or representative
- Email Address: To communicate approval status, updates, and important notifications
- Website URL: The tool's website or application link
- Tool Description: Information about your tool's features and benefits
- Company Information: Business name and details (if applicable)
When You Apply for Featured Placement
- Contact Information: Name, email, company details
- Campaign Details: Requested placement, budget, scheduling preference and provider-supplied destination or referral URL. This application does not collect card details or process payments; payment arrangements are confirmed separately.
- Business Information: Tax ID or business registration (if required)
Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, clicks, and navigation patterns
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type
- IP Address: For analytics and security purposes
- Cookies: Small files stored on your device to enhance your experience
Newsletter Sign-ups
When you subscribe we store your email address, the time of sign-up, and the IP address and browser user agent used, as proof of consent and to prevent abuse. You can unsubscribe from any email.
Messages, tool and prompt submissions, feedback and sign-ups you send us are also kept in a private log file on our web server, so they are not lost if our database is briefly unavailable. We keep that server copy for about 90 days after the end of the month in which it was sent.
Partner Spotlight Measurements
We record campaign impressions and clicks using signed delivery tokens and a daily keyed fingerprint derived from the visitor IP address and browser user agent. Promotion event records store the fingerprint, campaign, event type, time bucket and any eligible click charge; they do not store the raw IP address or a contact email. These measurements help deduplicate activity, limit budgets and report campaign performance.
Advertiser reports contain aggregate campaign metrics and no individual visitor records. Report access is controlled by a private link that the site administrator can replace. Provider destination URLs may contain their own referral or campaign parameters; after following a link, the provider processes activity under its own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Verification: To verify you own or represent the submitted tool
- Communication: To send status updates about your submission (Approved/Rejected/Pending)
- Service Delivery: To list your tool in our directory and provide featured placement
- Billing: To process payments and send invoices for featured services
- Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our services
- Security: To detect fraud, abuse, and protect our platform
- Marketing: To send newsletters and updates (you can opt-out anytime)
Our lawful bases (where GDPR or UK GDPR applies) are: performance of a contract (shop orders, accounts, placements), consent (analytics cookies, newsletters, referral cookies), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement) and legal obligation (accounting records).
3. Third-Party Sharing
We do NOT sell your email or personal information to spammers, marketers, or third parties for their promotional purposes.
We only share your data with trusted third-party service providers necessary for our operations:
Payment Processors
- Any payment provider is agreed separately with the advertiser. The placement application itself does not send card details to a processor.
- These providers have their own privacy policies and security measures
Analytics Providers
- Google Analytics: To understand site traffic and user behavior
- Microsoft Clarity: Heatmaps and anonymised session recordings (clicks, scrolling and page interactions, with form fields masked) to find confusing or broken parts of the site. It is operated by Microsoft, follows the same consent rules as Google Analytics, and does not run on account, checkout or admin pages. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.
- Our own anonymous visit counter: To know how many people visit and which pages they read, our server counts visits without cookies. For each visit it creates a one-way code from the date, your IP address and your browser type, using a secret key. The code cannot be turned back into your IP address and changes every day, so we cannot follow you from one day to the next. We keep only the code for three days (to avoid counting you twice in a day) and the daily totals, with the country the visit came from and the page that was read. Nothing is stored on your device, and known bots are not counted.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland (and wherever we cannot determine your location), analytics and shop interaction counting run only after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they run until you decline. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie preferences at the bottom of this page. Data is aggregated whenever possible.
Shop Accounts and Digital Resources
When you sign in to the shop, we store your email, account identifier, order records, download access, membership expiry, and any affiliate application or review you submit. We use these records to deliver files, provide receipts, recover account access, and administer referrals. Account and purchase emails do not subscribe you to marketing. Public free downloads require no account. For paid products, checkout is handled by Kam Wai through Payment Asia, which collects and processes your card or wallet details and applicable VAT or sales tax. We never see or store your full card number; we receive the order reference, payment status and amount. Your email and order records are kept for accounting and refund purposes.
Shop sign-in uses an essential session cookie lasting up to 30 days. Saved carts, daily practice progress, and bookmarked exercises stay in your browser storage and can be cleared through your browser. Optional referral cookies last up to 30 days and are set only when you accept tracking. With consent, we also count shop interactions without storing your email in those event records. Security rate limits use hashed identifiers and expire; access tokens and sessions are stored as hashes.
Affiliate Links and Sponsored Placements
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy or sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate and sponsored links are labelled and carry rel="sponsored". After you follow such a link, the other company handles your data under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. Our editorial approach does not change because of a commission.
Infrastructure and Other Processors
We use service providers to run the site, including hosting and database services, image storage and delivery, an email delivery service, and the payment provider named above. They process data only on our behalf. Where data is transferred outside your country, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
