Your prompt
Help me turn unpaid or non-traditional work into honest resume lines.
Type of work: {{experience_type}} (for example caring for a family member, volunteering, gig work, military service or running something from home)
Dates or length of time: {{dates}}
What I actually did, in my own words: {{what_i_did}}
The job I am aiming for: {{target_job}}
Rules:
- Use only my facts. Do not invent employers, job titles, qualifications, certificates, tools or results.
- Do not add any number I did not give. If a number would help, write [?] and ask me. If I only know roughly, use "about".
- Do not upgrade my role (for example "managed" when I said "helped"). Do not make unpaid work look paid. Use a plain label such as "Volunteer", "Family caregiver" or "Self-employed".
- Leave out health details and names of anyone I cared for or helped. In every part of your answer, including the lines I should not use, write "health details" instead of naming a condition.
- Use my own verbs. If I said "helped", write "helped". Do not add facts about my life, such as taking time out of work, unless I said so. Where a number would help, put [?] inside the line itself.
- For military work, use plain civilian words. Keep a military term only if I gave it, once, in brackets.
- If my notes are thin, first ask me up to 5 short questions (what tasks, how often, for how many people, what tools, what changed because of it).
Answer in this format:
1. One heading line, such as "Career break: family caregiving, 2022 to 2025".
2. Three to five resume lines that start with a verb. After each, write "Based on:" and quote the words from my notes.
3. Skills these lines honestly show that fit {{target_job}}, each linked to a line above.
4. Lines I should NOT use, and why.
5. One calm, truthful sentence I can say in an interview about this period.4 inputs still blank. Empty inputs stay as placeholders when copied.

How to use this prompt
- 1Write what you did in your own plain words. Leave out names and health details.
- 2Fill in the four inputs and copy the complete prompt.
- 3Answer the questions honestly; say "I don't know" rather than guess.
- 4Read every line aloud and keep only the ones you could explain in an interview.
Tips & limitations
Check the result: 1. Every resume line has a "Based on:" quote that really appears in your notes. 2. No number, title, tool or qualification appears that you did not give; unknown numbers show [?]. 3. Unpaid work is clearly labelled and not made to look like a paid job. 4. No names or health details of people you cared for or helped appear anywhere. Example output is illustrative; independently verify calculations, dates, quotations and actions relevant to your task.
